If you’re feeling like your Microsoft account is just taking up space and you don’t use it anymore, deleting it can make your life a lot easier. Here’s how to do it:
- Log in to your Microsoft account on the web or on a supported device.
- Click the “Your Account” link in the top left corner of the screen.
- Under “Your Account settings,” click “Delete my account.”

Also, rather than selecting Sign in with a local account under Settings Accounts Your information, go to Settings Accounts Your info and select Sign in with a local account.
On a PC or laptop, log into www.teamapp.com. Click your name in the upper right corner. Select ‘edit account’ from the menu and eliminate it.
