Apple has a way to lock your Apple ID, and it’s not as easy as you might think. To delete your Apple ID, follow these steps:
- Open the Apple App Store and sign in to your account. If you’re using a different Apple ID than the one that’s currently registered on your device, you’ll need to create a new one.
- Click on the “Accounts” tab and select “Apple ID.” If you’ve already deleted your old Apple ID, this step will not be necessary.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Delete.” You’ll be asked to confirm deletion before proceeding. Once you’ve clicked on “Delete,” your account will be deleted and all of its data will be lost.
Select the Settings app. Tap your name or the previous owner’s name at the top of the window. To Sign Out, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap Sign Out. You’ll need to enter the previous owner’s Apple ID password next.
Head to iforgot.apple.com and sign in using your Apple ID email address. Follow the instructions to unlock your account if you haven’t already done so. If you’re having difficulties, call Apple customer care at 800-APL-CARE or talk with an Apple expert.
Go to your Apple ID account page and enter your Apple ID and password. Select “Can’t access your trusted devices?” from the Verify Your Identity screen. Enter your Recovery Key in the pop-up window.
How to Reset an iPhone Without Using Apple ID. Open the Settings application on your iPhone. Select the “Reset” option from the drop-down menu next to “Erase All Content and Settings? Reenter your password if prompted, then choose “Erase iPhone” from the drop-down.
If you’ve forgotten your password, visit the Apple ID account page and choose Forgotten Apple ID or Password. Select “Reset My Password” to erase it. Choose “Continue after selecting the option to reset your password. enter your two-step verification Recovery Key.
