If you’ve ever lost access to your Google account, or if you just want to delete it for whatever reason, here are some tips on how to do it.
- Log in to your Google account and click on the “Accounts” tab.
- Scroll down and click on the “Deactivate account” button.
- Type in the email address of the person who used to have your Google account (or their contact information if they’re no longer alive), and click on the “Activate” button.
- Click on the “Create new password” button and enter a new password for yourself.
- Click on the “Activate account” button and confirm your new password before clicking on the “Delete account” button.
Click on the drop-down menu next to ‘delete your account or services,’ then choose one of the options. Select ‘delete your accounts or services’ from the drop-down menu. Scroll down and click the ‘sign in using’ option that says, “Delete your accounts or services.” After signing in, select the option, “Delete products.” Tap on the option at the top right corner labeled, “Remove product.” Type your password to verify it and click next.
Open the “Accounts” option in your phone’s settings. Open your preferences window. Select the account you wish to delete. Delete the selected account by tapping “Remove Account.” Tap “Remove account” again.
You won’t be able to delete your account, but you may remove it from every device you own. Because you are not the OP, you haven’t specified what type of device you use, but to remove a dating-site profile on an Android smartphone or tablet, go to the Settings app.
Locate the Gmail service and click the garbage bin next to it. Confirm and complete the procedure for deleting the account. In the event that you wish to reinstate it in future, you may suspend it instead of permanently removing it. To remove an account rather than suspending it, pick the permanent delete option.
The auto-renewal period is set at three months by default, although you may choose to wait up to 18 months. Google claims it will contact you one month before your account becomes truly inactive with emails and text messages.
