When you receive your package from UPS, it may look like something out of a science fiction movie. The company has sent a large, box-like object to your house. It’s usually filled with packages and materials that are being delivered to your home. If you’re not familiar with UPS, this is the company that delivers packages to your house. They have a large truck that comes to your house and leaves the package on the doorstep. You’ll usually find a worker inside the truck who will take care of unpacking the package and delivering it to your home. There are a few things you can do when receiving a package from UPS:
- Make sure you have an address for UPS to deliver to. This is important because if they don’t have an address, they may not be able to deliver the package or they may not be able to contact you for help if something goes wrong during delivery.
- If there is anything in the package that isn’t allowed by UPS, make sure you let them know before opening it. This will help them avoid any problems during delivery and ensure that everything arrives in good condition.
- If there is anything in the package that is allowed by UPS but isn’t what you expected, make sure to let them know before opening it so they can correct any errors or issues as soon as possible.
To intercept USPS packages, you will need to log in to your account on the USPS site and submit a request. If you call your post office before an incorrect shipment arrives, they can correct its address.
If you have received a UPS InfoNotice® after delivery attempts were made, you can update the shipping address for your package. Choose from either of these two methods to update your order’s shipping address: …On the Tracking Summary page, select the Change Delivery button.OrWithin 24 hours after receiving a UPS InfoNotice®, go to UPS.com and enter your tracking number on the Express Envelope Tool page and choose one of three options offered.
A $13.40 UPS ground charge will be charged for address corrections or completion.
Generally, instances like this are caused by the address format being in a way that UPS software doesn’t understand. Things like: streets with North, South, East, or West stated differently than the official street name in the address label may confuse it. There might be a problem when the street is on another line of the address label.
Companies will be notified by the sender or their tracking system that a package was not delivered to the right address. Even if you do not tell them about this, they will still probably call your house or come to your door asking for you to hand over the shipment’s address.
