If you’re an office 365 customer, it’s important to close your account if you want to stop receiving updates and support from the company. Office 365 offers a lot of features and benefits, but it can be difficult to keep up with all of them. If you don’t close your account, you may not be able to access some of the features or receive support from Office 365. Here are some tips on how to close an office 365 account:
- Log in to your account and click on the “Accounts” tab.
- Click on the “Closing Accounts” link under “My Account.”
- Type in a reason for closing your account and click on the “Close Account” button.
- Click on the “Thank You” button and enjoy your last months of service!
You can’t use your Microsoft account to access the Microsoft products and services you’ve been using if you close it. It also deletes all of the services linked with it, including your Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, and MSN email accounts.
Go to the Services & Subscriptions page. If required, use the email address and password you used to subscribe to Office 365 with your Microsoft account. Next to the subscription you want to cancel, click Cancel.
Eligibility: You can cancel your Microsoft 365 for business trial or paid subscription online in the Microsoft 365 admin center at any time if you have fewer than 25 licenses assigned to users. If the cancellation period has passed, turn off recurring billing to terminate the subscription at the conclusion of its term.
If your subscription expires, you will still have access to the Microsoft 365 portal, Office applications, and services such as email and SharePoint Online for 30 days afterward. After this 90-day period, your subscription will be deprovisioned, removing access to services and Office applications.
