If you’re like most people, you probably use your Apple ID to login to your account on your iPhone. But if you want to change your Apple ID email address, there’s a few steps you need to take. First, open the Settings app and select the Accounts tab. Then click on the Apple ID button in the top left corner of the screen. Next, enter in your new email address and click on the Change Password button. You’ll be asked for a new password and will be prompted for confirmation. Enter it into the text field and click on the OK button. Now that you’ve changed your Apple ID email address, you need to set up a new password for it. Open Settings again and select General > Security > Password Management > Password Reset. Select Reset My Password and enter in your old password into the text field. Click on Reset Now to finish setting up your new password.
To modify your iCloud ID on your iPhone, go to Settings iCloud, choose Delete Account, type in the old ID’s password when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign in with the new ID you’d like to use.

If you have an Apple ID that uses an Apple email address, you won’t be able to convert it to a Gmail or Outlook account address. You won’t be able to change your Apple ID if you don’t have any additional Apple email addresses linked to your account.
