If you’re like most parents, you probably celebrate your children’s birthdays with a big party. But what if you don’t have enough kids to host a party? Or what if you want to celebrate your child’s birthday in a special way that doesn’t involve a lot of hassle? Family sharing can help. Family sharing is a feature on Apple’s iOS and macOS operating systems that lets multiple people use the same device, app, or file at the same time. It’s perfect for parents who want to share photos and videos of their kids without having to worry about who gets to use what first. To change your child’s birthday on family sharing, follow these steps:
- Open the family sharing settings on your device. You can find these settings in the Settings app on an iPhone or iPad, or in System Preferences on a Mac.
- Under “Members,” click on the name of your child (or children) and select “Edit Profile.”
- Under “Birthday,” enter the new date that you’d like to celebrate your child’s birthday. You can also choose whether or not you’d like family sharing to send out a notification about this change. If you don’t want notifications sent out, uncheck the box next to “Send me an email about changes.” ..
Children under the age of 13 are not allowed to leave a family group. You can relocate them to another group or cancel their account.
Open the Mail app on your computer or iPhone, then open a new message to yourself. Select a location and an event if prompted. The following information is required:
When your kid reaches the age of 13 (or equivalent minimum age depending on jurisdiction), you’ll be able to keep their account active without having them join Family Sharing.
