· Your child has downloaded a game that looks fun, but you don’t want to pay for it.

· You’ve sold or given away your iPhone, iPad, or Mac and are no longer interested in downloading items on them.

Once an item is downloaded from the Purchases page of the App Store app on any device that you’ve authorized to share family purchases with – iTunes removes the item from your Purchase history. The next time you sync your device (or log into iCloud), these purchases will be removed from the device as well. Note that purchasing restrictions put in place by Apple Music’s parental controls still apply – this just removes it from your purchase history so that it won’t be automatically added back if the restriction is lifted.

To remove an item from your purchase history:

  1. On a Mac or PC, go to the Purchases page of the App Store app and click See All under Not on This Computer. Note that you’ll need to sign in with your Apple ID in order to see this page.

  2. You may have family purchases on other devices – if so, they’re listed here as well. Select an item from the list and click Purchase History…

  3. Click Remove next to the item you want to remove, then confirm by clicking Remove again when prompted. That’s it!

If you’ve made a purchase within the last 90 days and don’t want to wait for iTunes to remove it from your purchase history automatically, you can request a refund directly from the Purchase history page.

In the App Store on your computer, click Purchases in the toolbar at the top of any page.Click See All and sign in with your Apple ID if prompted to do so. Note that you’ll need to have made at least one purchase from the App Store or iTunes using this ID on any device for it to appear here – otherwise, purchases are listed as “Not eligible for request” and you can’t make a refund request yet.

Select the item you want a refund for and click Report a Problem. You’ll be asked to confirm which kind of problem you’re reporting (price, billing, etc.) Choose Request Refund from the list and fill in the requested details before clicking Submit. You can read more about requesting refunds through the App Store or iTunes here .

When you create a Family Sharing account on your Apple ID, you can invite up to 5 other family members for a total of six people. One person is designated as the “organizer”- the one who set up the group and can add or remove people – while everyone else is either an adult or child (with restricted privileges).

To lock the phone remotely, parents should use a third-party app.
